MEDIA CENTER 10.0 software has just been released, with support for
music and movie download services that use Digital Rights Management
to protect files from piracy. The integrated services are slated for
release later this year. MC organizes and plays all media, including
music, photos, and video in a single Windows application.
MC 10 includes an improved Action Window for intuitive and swift
completion of common tasks, such as ripping CD’s, burning playlists
or transferring music to handheld devices like the Apple iPod. Media
Mode buttons allow browsing of media by type, and new 3D
visualizations include a playable 3D spoof of Atari’s classic PONG
game.
